Week 1 - Assignment: Differentiate Types of Procurement (Make or Buy)

For this assignment, based on what you have learned about Make or Buy via readings, you will create a 5-minute PowerPoint video with voice narration to further discuss up to five (5) make or buy strategies used during an envisioned procurement process. For example, you may present a scenario where this type of interaction would be incorporated. It could be any industry of your choice (i.e., retail, construction, or government entities). Ask yourself, what type of strategy would you use as a buyer and seller in a retail environment? Why would you present this strategy? Who or what would it benefit on the project outcomes or procurement deliverables?

In your PowerPoint presentation, be sure to:

  1. Using Kaltura, complete a video to present substantial examples from the reading to explicitly describe and exhibit your understanding of the strategies used within the context of your selected examples.

  2. Cite specific examples by supporting your strategies and selected scenario.

  3. Remember to provide strategies for both buyer and seller instances to reflect a thorough understanding of this part of the process.

  4. Be sure to upload the actual presentation, along with speaker notes.

Length: 6-8 slides (150 notes per slide) with voice narration, not including title and reference slides

References: Include a minimum of 5 scholarly resources.

The completed assignment should address all the assignment requirements, exhibit evidence of concept knowledge, and demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the content presented in the course. The writing should integrate scholarly resources, reflect academic expectations and current APA standards, and adhere to Northcentral University's Academic Integrity Policy.
