5. Critique a management case and identify how adopted management models and theories were applied. Summary of Assessment 3 Requirements You are required to critically analyze and evaluate management theory or theories provided to you, in a structured report. This requires you to support your analysis from empirical evidence from the literature. Critical analysis requires you to critique the opinions and provide your judgment on the issues in question, drawing from different theoretical perspectives and frameworks. The total mark for this group report is 100. Your marking schedule indicates the assessment criteria and the number of marks awarded to each section. Strictly follow the report structure.


Assessment 2: Report Structure

1. Introduction (up to 400 words, 15 marks) ï‚· What is the main concept of the analysis? The main concept of an analysis is the focus of the report. It is often a single precise statement and may be found in the introduction. ï‚· Introductory information of a report also provide good background information of the issues slated for analysis.


2. Main Body (up to 1200 words, 60 marks) It is essential to consider the quality of the evidence in the group study. a) What kind(s) of evidence does the study present? Is the evidence fact, research, opinion, or personal experience? ï‚· Objective facts are generally applicable. ï‚· Information obtained through research is convincing, as long as the methodology is appropriate. ï‚· Opinions can easily be contradicted by an alternative opinion. They are more likely to be biased. ï‚· Personal experience may not apply to other cases and so is not easily generalized. ï‚· Present the key arguments made in the study. ï‚· Sources of information is provided b) Consider management theory and evolution. ï‚· Which theory are used in the study? ï‚· Provide specific use of the theory in management practice c) Reference credible examples of the application of the theory. MGMT. 8001: Management Practice: Analysis and Review d) Management theory and contemporary issues : Clearly explain how the analysis can help contemporary management issues e) In what ways does the study contribute to management practice? What problems and concepts in management does it engage with?
