Evaluate (AIS) and (EIS) to meet organizational requirements, policies and procedures

Question: Furthermore, this subject considers systems in action by looking at the various transaction cycles including revenue, expenditure, production, HR and payroll, the general ledger and financial reporting. Lastly it draws on the knowledge you have acquired about systems and processes in the broader context of the organization to address new and emerging issues. At the end of this subject students will be able to: 1. Interpret the role of accounting information systems in supporting the operations of an organization. 2. Evaluate accounting information systems (AIS) and enterprise information systems (EIS) to meet organisational requirements, policies and procedures. 3. Apply knowledge of the business environment and recommend an accounting information system to meet the needs of a client. 4. Consider the role of ethics and method of risk management when evaluating accounting information systems (AIS) and enterprise information systems (EIS). 5. Assess systems for potential internal control risk and make recommendations to remedy the risks. 6. Communicate system recommendations effectively to a diverse audience. Expected attendance • In addition to attending lectures, tutorials and other learning activities, you are expected to undertake self-directed private study including reading, practical application of theoretical knowledge, and completion of assessment tasks. • If you are unable to attend class-based learning activities you should notify the teacher and/or tutor and access the relevant learning materials to make up the missed class through private study. • If you are unable to attend a class during which an assessment activity is scheduled, you must provide a medical certificate as evidence of your inability to attend class. Your teacher will advise you of alternative assessment requirements. You are expected to: • complete any pre-reading specified prior to attending classes • access resources on the subject Moodle and elsewhere as advised by the subject teacher.
