Ability to produce budgets in Microsoft Excel then import into the accounting software

We require you to investigate the three accounting software packages above to see if they can perform the following:

• produce income statements for income streams in each location

• produce income statements for each course and/or course module

• produce expense reports for for any expense item (eg Instructor fees) by location or in total • produce income statements with actual results compared to budgeted results, with variances

• ability to produce income statements where every item is shown as a percentage of income • ability to produce budgets in Microsoft Excel then import into the accounting software

• ability to set up specialised reports such as variable income statements (Income less Direct Expenses giving Contribution Margin, less Fixed Expenses giving net profit) as well as the traditional income statement (which gives gross profit and net profit)

• ability for the software to produce key performance indicators (KPIs such as financial ratios) • Ability to import data from Edupoint or other data base packages

• Ability for payroll to be costed to various locations and cost centres

• Ability for payroll to accrue all leave, including long service leave

• Ability to export information into Microsoft Excel

• Ability for the software to produce future cash requirements (that is, entering supplier invoice due dates for payment and producing a “Cash Requirements Report” to help plan future payments

• Ability to consolidate QIBA and subsidiary companies

• Ability to handle foreign currency as Diplomas and industry training courses will be offered offshore in at least 4 countries
